All Rileyed Up

I’m not a writer, but I play one on the internet.

About February 9, 2008

If you know me from my Blogger blog, then you know that I’m just your typical at-home mother slash writer with a penchant for drinking and a never fulfilled desire to become a ninja. That’s the truth of the matter. I’ve accepted that I’ll never be a ninja. But that “slash writer” part is becoming more and more a part of my life.

I finished writing my first novel in January 08. I hope to have it edited and ready to submit to agents by April. I’m sure you’ll hear all about it in future posts.

My blog can be divided into a few categories: family musings, trash-talking dogs, and an exploration into all things tacky, especially postcards, David Hasselhoff and Elvis paraphernalia. I hope to include more book reviews and author readings as the year unfolds.

Thanks for stopping by!

I just finished Water for Elephants, and have been scanning for some explaination about the Jacob allusion. Thank you for posting your thoughts…they helped me sort out my own!
My own book club is meeting this week, so hopefully I’ll have something worthwhile to add!
    Thanks,
    Carrie

    Hello!

We hope this email/post finds you happy and well! It was my sincere intention to write you sooner; however, we were on a long jaunt in the tradeshow world for Nana Star and Friends and time has not been in our favor these past few weeks. Maybe I’m a little slow, but I can’t find your email address on this blog?!? My apologies!

We wanted to thank you for your kind, thoughtful review of Nana Star and Nana Star and the Moonman. We greatly appreciate your input and opinions and we do pay attention to everything that is commented on and take note accordingly.

We do hope our next stories and toys head your way in the coming year. Our journey to bring Nana Star to life has been a labor of love and the road has been long; however, we feel that parents and educators “get it” and we do know children love the stories.

You have such a nice blog and we’re glad to be part of it. I will check back for sure. We have placed your review and live link back to your site on:
http://www.nanastar.com/bloggers.html - it should be up in the next day or two for sure. It will be nice for our visitors to know about your site and we just can’t thank you enough.

Take good care, keep writing and sharing your wonderful blog with the world! BTW - you “play” a GREAT writer on the internet!

    Much kindness & laughter,

    ee
